L.A. ADVENTURE {3}: TASTE OF THE EASTSIDE

This past weekend I wanted to check out an event held at Barnsdall Park in Los Feliz; the Taste of the Eastside. Granted I do not live on the eastside, but I do love food and a few places I have been dying to try participated. There were some major highlights.

The first of many stops was L&E Oyster Bar, I felt like I spent most of my time there. I have actually been to this place quite a few times, but who can say no to an oyster or two?

Another highlight was a taco spot, that I have heard of but never tried, Hugo’s Tacos. Since I just started eating meat, I have been down to try anything. They were serving carnitas, it was so good. They add cinnamon to their carnitas so it had this great sweet taste. I will be visiting them soon.

Other highlights include, Canele I enjoyed their farro salad. Cliff’s Edge had a beautifully prepared scallop. Mohawk Bend had a nice chilled pea soup. Diablo Taco had a great ceviech, I really love a good ceviche. All those bites could not be complete without Pazzo Gelato they never disappoint.

This was a great event, you get to try a bunch of great local spots in one shot. I will definitely check it out next year. Now they need to have one on the westside!!!
