IN THE KITCHEN: ROASTED BRUSSELS SPROUTS WITH APPLES AND CINNAMON

I think Brussels Sprouts are the new “it” food right now, I see them everywhere. I really do love when they are hot out of the oven and super crispy. So I decided to jump on the Brussels Sprouts bandwagon and create a yummy side dish. Roasted Brussels Sprouts with green apples and cinnamon. I like this side dish because it super versatile, you can eat it with anything and mix it with anything. You can add dried cranberries, or add pistachios and fresh lemon juice, that one is really good too!

INGREDIENTS

  • 1 cup of Brussels sprouts, cut in to halves

  • ½ green apple, peeled, cored and cut in to small pieces

  • 1 tbsp of olive oil

  • Dash of Cinnamon

  • Salt to taste

Preheat the oven to 450, in a baking dish or baking sheet spread out the Brussels Sprouts and apples. Drizzle with olive oil, cinnamon and salt to taste. Roast in the oven for 15-20 minutes, periodically shaking the dish so nothing gets burned. Once the Brussels are browned and tender take out of oven and enjoy!
