Over the weekend I finally checked out Manhattan Beach Post. This place has been on my list since it opened. I am happy to say, the food was excellent. The interior is very open with a handful of communal tables. A lot of warn wood paneling, and I even noticed some cubbies that looked like they were from the old post office.

As for the food, they have a great variety of yummy veggies, hearty main dishes and some tasty cocktails. The menu is seasonal, so the menu does change. When I saw they had soft shell crab on the menu I did not even have to hesitate on ordering. Overwhelmed with the excitement of finally eating here, I did not photograph the yummy cheddar, bacon biscuits with maple butter. I am not a fan of maple syrup, but that butter was a perfect addition to the savory biscuits.

The soft shell crab was fantastic; I loved the addition of the grilled watermelon and the poppy seed yogurt. My friend ordered the truffle glazed fried chicken. In my eyes whenever you order something with truffles it’s going to be good, this dish did not disappoint. The chicken was super tender and the batter was not too heavy. The truffle glaze added a nice sweetness. I cannot wait to go back, next time I have to order dessert.
