Last weekend I visited MOCA with some friends and saw a fantastic exhibit from Urs Fischer. This was such a great exhibit. I loved that all the walls dividing each room were cut out, which created different vantage points from room to room. His sculptures have such life, I especially loved the street lamp.

Not only was this exhibit in the MOCA on Grand it also continued into the MOCA in Little Tokyo. This exhibit housed thousands (probably even more) of clay sculptures. The story behind this exhibit was he invited over a thousand artists to come and just created sculptures. There is so much stuff everywhere, it was a little creepy. Hands down the show stopper was this beautiful marble sculpture but it really wasn’t marble they were wax. This sculpture is one giant candle, and throughout the exhibit it is lite up creating these beautiful wax drippings. Pieces also begin to fall and crumble to the ground. I have never seen anything like that, it was a really inspiring show. I highly recommend checking it out.
